Born near Inverness, Scotland, in the year 1828, Daniel has retained many of his Victorian sensibilities, including some that are no longer especially popular. In his long life, he has been an obstetrician, an army field surgeon, a librarian, a book shop owner, and a high school English teacher. After surviving the first and second World Wars and a brief and tragic stint in Korea, he withdrew from service and retreated into obscurity, content with books and solitude. He is violently allergic to citrus, nuts, and most types of pollen. Incidentally, he is also undead.
While technologically impaired, Daniel has condescended to create a Facebook account.
